The torque converter seal sits at the front of the automatic transmission where the torque converter snout enters the transmission housing, preventing fluid from leaking at this high-pressure junction. Signs of failure include: red fluid leaking from the front of the transmission, a low fluid level, or fluid contamination on the bell housing and surrounding components. Replace the seal to stop the leak before fluid loss causes transmission damage.
