A CV joint boot kit includes the replacement boot, fresh grease, and all the clamps needed to reseal a CV joint after the old boot has torn or degraded. Signs that a kit is needed include: a torn or cracked boot with grease visible on surrounding components, or clicking noticed when turning before the joint has fully worn. Install a boot kit at the first sign of a tear to protect the joint and avoid a full axle replacement.
