The oxygen sensor connector carries the sensor's voltage signal to the ECM and is located in a hot, vibration-prone area of the exhaust system. Signs of failure include: O2 sensor codes that return after sensor replacement, visible heat damage to the connector near the exhaust, or an intermittent fault that is affected by exhaust pipe movement.
