The wheel hub is the central component that mounts the wheel to the vehicle, houses the wheel bearing, and provides the flange to which the wheel studs and brake rotor are attached. Signs of damage include: a hub with stripped lug nut threads, a cracked or bent hub flange from an impact, or a hub bore that is damaged beyond serviceable limits. Replace a damaged wheel hub to restore a safe, properly threaded wheel mounting surface.
