CV Axle Shaft Carrier Bearing Bracket
The CV axle carrier bearing bracket supports the center bearing on longer axle shafts used in some front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive vehicles, preventing the axle from flexing excessively. Signs of damage include: a vibration or humming noise from the driveline area, the carrier bearing visibly loose or cracked, or the axle shaft sagging out of its normal position. Replace a damaged bracket to keep the axle properly supported and vibration-free.
