Fuel Pump and Strainer Set

The fuel pump strainer filters debris from the fuel before it enters the pump, protecting the pump and injectors from contamination. Signs that replacement is needed include: any time the fuel pump is replaced, a restricted strainer that causes the pump to work harder and reduce fuel pressure, or a vehicle that runs poorly when the tank is low due to debris being stirred up. Replace the strainer whenever the pump is serviced.
