The daytime running light relay controls power to the DRL circuit, activating the lights automatically when the vehicle is in drive and the parking brake is released. Signs of failure include: DRLs that do not illuminate under normal conditions, a relay that clicks but passes no current, or DRLs that stay on regardless of operating state. Replace the relay to restore automatic DRL operation.
