A fuel injector seal kit includes the O-rings, pintle caps, and backup rings needed to reseal the fuel injectors when they are removed, preventing fuel leaks above and below the injector. Signs that new seals are needed include: a fuel smell around the intake manifold, fuel seeping around an injector body, or any time injectors are removed for cleaning or replacement. Always install fresh seals when reinstalling injectors.
