["NTK Ignition Knock (Detonation) Sensor"]
The knock sensor detects the mechanical vibration signature of engine knock or detonation and signals the ECM to retard ignition timing to prevent engine damage. Signs of failure include: a check engine light with a knock sensor code, a reduction in power because the ECM has put the engine into a conservative timing map, or audible pinging under load that the ECM is no longer correcting for. Replace a faulty knock sensor to protect the engine and restore full performance.
NTK, a division of NGK, is the world's largest manufacturer of automotive oxygen sensors and a major OE supplier. Featuring advanced ceramic technology and precision manufacturing, NTK sensors deliver accurate readings, quick response times, and exceptional durability for optimal engine performance and emissions control.
